Almost 300 species of bird have been identified on or in the immediate vicinity of the site and the number is steadily rising. Amongst these are 6 Albertine Rift Endemics (AREs), 9 species of cuckoo and many others of limited range and distribution. Many colourful species, such as turacos, barbets, sun-birds, cuckoos and woodpeckers, frequent the forest edge and can be seen from the verandah of your tent-house.
